Ephesians 4:1-6 NKJV
[1] I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, [2] with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, [3] endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. [4] There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; [5] one Lord, one faith, one baptism; [6] one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Unity can feel difficult to achieve when many different opinions abound.
When we accept Jesus into our lives, we gain a family, not in the sense that our biological family grows larger, but that we gain more brothers and sisters in Christ.
People might hurt or betray us in one way or another, and we can forgive them, just as God forgave us.
Jesus Christ suffered and died to save all of us, and anyone who believes in Him and chooses to follow Him can be saved.
When we take time to choose Him each day, it becomes easier to accept other people, just as they are.
Then we can be more open to accepting God’s love, just as we are.
Amen.
