Joshua 22:5 NKJV
[5] But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is a proverb that Benjamin Franklin coined, but it has some Biblical application for us as well.

When we follow God’s commandments and listen to His voice, we take care of ourselves spiritually, mentally, and physically.

When we neglect our spiritual, mental, and physical health, not only are we not able to function well, but we cannot serve others as well as we could.

God wants us to live a balanced life for a reason.

Preventable illness reminds us to pay more attention to God’s whispers.

He always knows what is best for us.

Amen.
