Psalms 91:15 NKJV
[15] He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

I hurt my lower back Saturday morning while picking up a toy. I had hurt my back in the same place after moving a table the week before.

On Saturday, I headed to the acupuncturist to see if she could help me, and the treatment helped for a few hours. Back spasms are not for the faint of heart.

My back pain hurt more than labor. My husband had to help me get into the car. I could barely walk.

Later in the day, my husband took me to the ER, where I was able to receive some pain medication. I improved enough to go home.

Illness has a way of reminding us to be grateful for everything God has given us: every movement, every breath, and every day that we wake up.

I had experienced a good day with my toddler earlier in the week. He had woken up happy.

He looked really worried after I hurt my back and couldn’t pick him up. My 7 year old had a lot of questions about why Mom was in pain, but he did his best trying to help Dad take care of things.

The Lord has a solution to everything.

Amen.
