Psalms 20:4 NKJV
[4] May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose.
Flowers become our friends when we look at their intricacies.
The Lord places us in a territory for a reason.
He knows where we can grow like a flower and thrive under the right conditions.
When we’ve been hurt, we might focus on replaying the past, but focusing on the past does not yield forgiveness.
We can wish loving kindness for those who have hurt us and move on.
A prayer by Marcus Stanley resonates with me:
Dear God, thank You for bringing me through another day. As I get ready to rest tonight, I’m asking You to heal the parts of my heart that have been hurt by people I trusted and loved. Your word in Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” God, help me protect my heart the way Your word says, not by closing it off, but by keeping You at the center of it. I can’t expect people to love me the right way when I love them more than I love You. Tonight I’m choosing to let Your love be the standard, because You’ve never let me down and You never will. Thank You for showing me what real love looks like through the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
We love because He first loved us. -1 John 4:19
Amen.
