Ezekiel 37:5 NKJV
[5] Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.

The air we breathe keeps us alive. Clean air is a matter of life or death.

Yet, we sometimes forget to breathe deeply.

Bringing attention and focus to the breath can calm us down and relax us before a good night’s sleep.

When we say, “Goodnight,” to our loved ones before bedtime, we express love as well as a gentle promise that we will see each other in the morning.

My family recently purchased an air filter that has a quiet night mode and a child safety lock. The baby loves the air filter so much that he pats it as if he were patting a friend on the back.

If only we could express such innocent gratitude for our breath that God gives us each day, we would feel much happier.

Amen.
