Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV
[14] Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. [15] For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus suffered during His life, but He didn’t complain.

When others accused Him, He kept silent.

He knew when to talk and when not to.

He did not dwell on the work yet undone, but praised God for the work completed.

He suffered in all the ways that we do, yet He did not sin.

Imagine if Jesus had taken on an attitude of self pity. Humanity would have been lost.

Instead of relying on His own feelings to make His decisions, He asked God for guidance.

He suffered and died for us so that we might live.

When we experience pain or suffering, instead of complaining about it, we can remember what Jesus did for us and thank Him for the lessons He is teaching us through our suffering.

No matter what we go through, He will give us the strength to endure it.

When we look at our problems, we might not see past the thick branches covering our path. It takes God’s grace to help us see the light through the trees. He will help us find the path everlasting.

Amen.
