Ephesians 5:20 NKJV
[20] giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, it’s easier to speak words of encouragement rather than give ear to our negative thoughts.
One or two things might set us off.
We might be tempted to conclude it’s a bad day, but the Lord can show us mercy when we are stressed, angry, or frustrated.
He turns irritation into praise.
He turns complaining into thankfulness.
We might not find it natural to thank Him in all things, but it’s essential for our well-being to do so.
Like a caterpillar into a butterfly, it may take time to transform our thoughts as we learn to trust Him more.
Amen.
