Romans 12:12 NIV
[12] Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

We sometimes forget what joy feels like during the midst of difficulty.

God gives us hope for a better tomorrow.

Each day brings its own challenges, highs, and lows.

God teaches us patience by throwing us lessons. We might not always want a lesson, but He gives us the lessons that we need.

He lines up the people, places, and resources that we need to overcome the difficulties.

If we find ourselves unable to sleep because of the number of worries we have, we can use those sleepless hours to pray.

God has us up for a reason.

There’s always a reason for what we’re going through.

The survival instinct teaches us fight, flight, or freeze.

Rabbits demonstrate freezing effortlessly. They pause, then decide what to do next.

Prayer can fill those pauses for us.

When we pause to pray, even if only for a minute, we connect to the Holy Spirit to receive direction.

The pause is essential.

When we act from a place of fear, we forget how powerful our source of strength is.

God gives us strength, vitality, and joy.

Amen.
